We were out at the fire pit yesterday just before supper and we could hear a nuthatch quite pleased with himself as he scooped a seed out of the feeder. Hopefully he will entertain us most of the winter with his yank-yank-yank call.  This nuthatch almost looks as though he is part of the tree.
