I do not understand the workings of rivers. Even as I write this it hasn’t stopped raining and yet the Wapiti River has crested and the levels are slowing coming down. I am posting two pictures this morning. The first one shows where the water was just hours before as it overflowed into O’Brian Park. You can see the silt the river laid down on top of the grass. The second picture shows the island that in the summer you can normally walk to by climbing down the bank and crossing over on the rocks. The water looks like chocolate milk.
