First thing we did when we got to Dawson City was to visit the Danoja Zho Cultural Centre, meaning long time ago house. Here we were treated to some excellent bannock and I got the recipe for future experimentation. After that we visited the cemetery. There were a number of them with markers dating from the gold rush up to today. We noted in the RCMP cemetery most of the officers died very young – early 20’s. I captured this swallowtail butterfly in the Catholic cemetery.
