From Whitehorse to Moose Creek today. We are impressed with the wildflowers that are creeping up on the highway. Arctic Lupine and Bear Root are the purple blue flowers while the yellow ones are Arnica and occasionally dandelions. We even drove through the ‘Drunken Forest’. (Sorry no pictures.) This section of forest is made up of Black Spruce and Paper Birch. The Permafrost causes the trees to grow in different directions as it melts making them appear ‘drunken’.

I would rather have flowers than shoulders anyway
