We have seen a few sites that have a cover-all building and piles of sand. I am sure these are for winter road maintenance. I am not sure what is in the pile that the moose is busy licking but I don’t think it is sand.  The roads in northern BC have been good. The vegetation in the ditches has been mowed allowing us to see whatever animals are there in plenty of time to stop.

mmmm to taste or not to taste
