The Canadian Tiger Swallowtail flits around among the alfalfa in our field. The grandkids and I chase these beautiful butterflies around the field hoping to get the perfect picture. One of our larger species with a wing span of 100mm (about 4 inches). The Monarch butterfly is only about 95 mm.
