I caught this little guy taking threads from the deck carpet for a nest. It is at this time of year we hear the pee-oo-oo song from the Black-capped Chickadees as they try to attract mates and defend territory. I still love the chick-a-dee-dee-dee call that we hear all winter long. They use that call to keep the flocks together and to maintain contact with each other.
