While I was in Courtenay I was able to watch a pair of Bald Eagles getting their nest ready. If you look really close in the top left you can see one of them keeping an eye out. They were fascinating to watch. There seemed to be a fair number of them where we were on Vancouver Island and they caused a fair amount of distress with the gulls in the area.
