I believe woodpeckers are endangered for a reason. They seem to have a knack for finding the loudest thing around to bang on especially very early in the morning. We have a lot of Downy’s around our place and it is fun to watch them hang off of the feeders. They seem to like our cedar siding as they have drilled their share of holes in it looking for food.
