Posing in broad daylight I felt very privileged to be able to capture our provincial bird. He looks like he is staring right through me. Interesting to note Owls eyes are fixed in place so they need to turn their entire heads to see up, down or to the side. As I understand it Great Horned Owls have a poor sense of smell thus skunks are on the menu.
